Some foods, spices, and herbs can beautify you. As we age, many of us lose the youthful appearance we once had in past years. Due to inflammation, free radicals, and toxins we are exposed to regularly – the youthful tone of youth can flee our appearance.

Sunlight, pollution, and stress cause you to age faster. Based on if your skin is dry, mature, or oily – you can customize what you use on your face to achieve a youthful and clear look.

For Oily Skin:
Rosemary, sage, thyme, yarrow, lavender

For Skin Protection:
Basil, gingko, green tea, black tea, rosemary, milk thistle, nettle, patchouli, and sage

For Skin Soothing:
Calendula, witch hazel, rose

For Dry Skin:
Rose, licorice, jasmine, fennel

You can add diluted witch hazel into a container to store and use with cotton wipes to clear your skin before applying makeup, after a workout, or when you wake up in the morning. Witch hazel can fade scars, reduce the skin’s appearance of redness, and calm an acne-prone face.

You can place rose water in a spray bottle and use it as a refresher or a toner throughout the day. Rose water can soothe skin irritation, reduce redness, and heals cuts or burns. Overall, it’s an excellent natural addition to introduce into your skin care.

There are many natural ways to care for your skin. As your skin is your bodies largest organ. The average adult contains 22 square feet of skin! It is exposed to harsh conditions, temperatures, and smog which is harmful for the skin. Take steps towards preserving and maintain your skin in a healthy and natural way.
